Possible Blackflash Interview

Apparently I was a featured artist on Blackflash 2.0, and I’ve been selected for a “possible interview” online, which could be published in a future issue? You can register and ask me questions, and if when they have enough they’ll contact me for an interview. Please get to it?

Various Updates

Some of what I’ve been up to over the past year or so:

  • Started my MFA at Concordia University in Montreal
  • A fundraising sale
  • An auction
  • An exhibition
  • And more importantly, two new bodies of work, still in progress. Whenever I finish them (or get close enough) I’ll put them up here.

New website coming soon too.

Outdoor Art Exhibition Review on Mondo

I did the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition again last weekend, and got a nice quick mention in Mondo Magazine’s review of the show, courtesy of Matt McGreachy.

Scott Chandler stood out among the photographers, especially for his “Hotel Lobbies” series. The eerie panoramic shots of some famous hotel lobbies were haunting not only because they were completely empty, but because they seemed somehow to be such a part of our modern psychic landscapes. His concern with how humans relate to constructed spaces is so important because now more than ever it seems that humans are highly mobile and constantly encountering strange, constructed spaces, just like hotel lobbies, and are forced to confront them as real spaces, rather than the carefully planned and decorated rooms that they are.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by my booth and offered kind words on my work, I hope to see you again next time I do the show!
