Roloff Beny Fellowship: I have been been granted the Roloff Beny Fellowship in Photography from the Roloff Beny Foundation & Concordia University, to cover travel costs and production of my MFA thesis project, which will happen in Summer 2010.
Presence Through Absence: I am part of a group exhibition at the Art Gallery of Peel in Brampton, Ontario with the artists Jeff Bark, Stefanie Fiore, Rafael Goldchain, Laura Letinsky, Robert Polidori, P. Elaine Sharpe, and Greg Staats. The show includes pieces from my Funeral Homes series and two new pieces from my current project of strip club interiors. Details

Photopia: Photopia opens tonight (April 17th, 7–10) and runs until April 25th. The sale features work by a lot of great artists such as Sally Ayre, Danielle Bleackley, Susan Blight, Kotama Bouabane, Marco Buonocore, Ed Burtynsky, Toni Hafkenscheid, April Hickox, Jennifer Long , Virginia Mak, Steve Payne, myself, and many others. Subliminal Spaces: I have three new images in the vitrines at Gallery 44 for Contact 2008. The project and exhibition was made as a part of my Verant Richards Award given by the Gallery. Details
Photopia: I’ll have one or two prints available for sale in Gallery 44’s annual fundraising sale, Photopia. The sale runs April 25th — 27th, with a reception Friday April 25th, 7–10.
OCAD Photo Faculty & Friends Fundraiser: I will be donating two pieces to the Photography Faculty & Friends silent auction fundraiser, taking place at OCAD March 10th — 14th. The auction generates funds for student scholarships.
TOAE Best of 2007: My Untitled #9, Hotel Lobbies Series will be included in the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition’s Best of 2007 show, January 14th — February 29th at the First Canadian Place Gallery. There will be a reception January 17th, 6–8.

Wall to Wall: Gallery 44’s annual photography sale, Wall to Wall, is being held December 7th — December 15th, with an opening reception December 6th, 6–10. Artists donate 50% of sales to the gallery. I will be selling my Untitled #7, Funeral Homes Series piece.
M.C. McCain Residency: I have been selected along with two other recent grads to participate in the M.C. McCain Post-Graduate Residency at OCAD. The residency gives full access to OCAD’s photography facilities for one year, a stipend for materials, and an opportunity to develop a body of work.
idea&s: Several images from my Funeral Homes series will appear in the Autumn issue of the University of Toronto’s idea&s journal.
Flash Forward Launch: The launch for the Magenta Foundation’s Flash Forward 2007 book will take place at Lennox Contemporary on October 4th. Details
Insomnia: My Untitled #1, Hotel Lobbies Series is included in the Nuit Blanche exhibit at Redhead Gallery, Insomnia. The large group show presents work related to the theme of sleeplessness, and runs September 26th — October 4th. The gallery will remain open all night on September 29th for Toronto’s Nuit Blanche.

Hey, Hot Shot: I have been featured on the blog for Jen Bekman’s Hey, Hot Shot! contest, check it out here. Hey, Hot Shot! is a juried photography contest, and a great chance for emerging photographers to get some exposure. Winners of the quarterly contest are showcased in a group show at Bekman’s New York gallery, and are considered for the Hey, Hot Shot Annual Exhibition. I am a contender for the Summer 2007 contest.

OCAD Awards: I received two graduating awards from the Ontario College of Art & Design, the Verant Richards Award from Gallery 44 for my thesis work, and the Gallery 76 Award for my Funeral Homes. The Verant Richards award allows me to produce a body of work at Gallery 44’s facilities during a 6 month membership, and then show it in their vitrines.
